Timepieces we design ourselves
Limited series drawn from South African wildlife, culture and heritage, and from collaborations with artists and designers working here. If you would rather design your own, that is a commission.
A collection is a small numbered series we design ourselves, taking its subject from the country around us — its wildlife, its landscapes, and the history that shaped where we work. Same craftsmen, same registry, same standard of finishing as any commission. The only difference is that the story on the dial is one we chose.
We also collaborate with South African artists and designers, giving their work a form that is worn rather than hung. Every series is finite and individually numbered, and once a run is complete that design rests.
The same standard
Built by the same craftsmen, by hand, to the same specification as a commission. A collection piece is not a lesser timepiece — it is the same timepiece carrying a story we chose.
Recorded and authenticated
Your piece arrives with its drawings, its serial number, its letter of authentication and a written account of what the design represents.
Numbered and finite
You know exactly how many exist and which one is yours. That number never changes and is never reused.
Ours to look after
We service and repair everything we make, so a collection piece comes home for care in exactly the way a commission does.
Our first series is being made now
The first KRUGER collection is in the workshop. It draws on the landscape we work in and on the history that shaped it, and it sets the standard everything after it will be measured against.
If you would like to see it before anyone else, tell us and we will write to you directly when it is ready.
You see it first
We write to everyone who has registered before the collection is shown publicly, with the finished designs, the full specification and the number of pieces in the series.
Registering commits you to nothing
It simply places your name on the list. Nothing is asked of you at this stage, and no payment details are ever requested on this website.
Numbered in order
Pieces are allocated in the order names were received, so registering early means the lower numbers in the series remain available to you.
When it is ready
We will name a date once we can meet it, for the same reason each piece takes months rather than weeks. The work sets the pace.
The language of our collections
These are designs from our own hand, showing the character of the house. Tell us which of them speaks to you — it genuinely shapes what we make first.

If there is something particular you would like to capture, a commission is the better answer. You sit down with us and design the whole timepiece together — the dial drawn from your moment, then the case, the hands, the strap and the engraving. It takes months, and it is one of one.
